Comprehensive Area Assessment (CAA) - Comprehensive Area Assessment is a new way of assessing local public services in England. It examines how well councils are working together with other public bodies to meet the needs of the people they serve. It's a joint assessment made by a group of six independent watchdogs. ContactPoint - ContactPoint will be a quick way for a practitioner to find out who else is working with the same child or young person, making it easier to deliver more coordinated support. It will be a basic online directory, available to authorised staff who need it to do their jobs. Core offer for disabled children, young people and families - A national statement of expectations for how disabled children and young people and their parents will be informed and involved as their needs are assessed and the necessary services provided.
