Representation

Welcome to VCS Matters Representation section.

You will find a wealth of information about how our representation programme works and more importantly how to make contact and engage with representatives.

VCS Matters works closely with Birmingham City Council and other partners to ensure that the voluntary and community sector in the city are involved in strategic and operational decision making on a broad range of issues. This we do by recruiting representatives from the Voluntary and Community Sector to sit on Children and Young People's Partnership boards. You will find a list of the boards where we have successfully acquired a VCS seat here

VCS Matters Representatives champion the interests and as far as reasonably possible reflect the views of the sector they represent on strategic boards.  For details on our currrent representation, the appointments process and what being a VCS Matters Represenative involves please see the sections below.

VCS Matters participated in the consultation on the Children’s Trusts statutory guidance and is listed in the final document under useful links - see here.
